The
Vision of the Dancing Meridians
Following
my certification in Bioenergy Balancing and several years of private
practice in Berkeley, California, I began to feel a need to share
the basic process of dialogue with the body consciousness. I saw
this as a way of empowering individuals in their own self care and
also as a way to enhance and deepen the practice of complimentary
healing practitioners.
When
I began teaching 13 years ago, I included hands-on tracing of
each meridian on the body in order of the circadian rhythms.
The next piece was to add the positive aspect or theme of each
meridian as we moved from one to another. We began learning
the meridians in a joyful way, and it soon became a dance. We
added music and found that learning pathways was easy and fun.
Here
is the Meridian Dance and its positive messages:
Governing
and Central Meridians:
I am on purpose as I align with Source Energy
Bladder
and Kidney:
I am courageous, spontaneous and free
Circulation/Sex
and Triple Warmer:
I bond easily and with discernment. As I trust myself, I trust Life
Gall
Bladder and Liver:
I have a choice in the expression of my creative Spirit. I live
my values
Lung
and Large Intestine:
In the flow of giving and receiving, I release what no longer has
heart or meaning
Stomach
and Spleen/Pancreas:
As I nurture myself , I feel content and worthy of life and love
Heart
and Small Intestine:
I am unconditionally loving, forgiving and accepting of the totality
of my being
Governing
and Central Meridians:
In gratitude, this exuberant energy overflows into and up through
the Core and returns to nurture and heal the Earth
The first drawings were static poses that clearly showed the meridian
lines but lacked the feeling of any movement of energy. I
began my search for an artist that could interpret the flow
in a dynamic way. At the close of one of my workshops in Helena,
Montana, a student recommended Tim Holmes,
a well known sculptor and artist . I was able to see him in
his studio that weekend. I took my materials and told him about
the workshops. I demonstrated the dance of the flow of energy
through the meridians. He was open and was actually enthused
to take on this project. A session was offered so he could
directly experience the clearing and restoring of energy in
the body.
The
drawings found in this website are what emerged – perfect
on the first rendering. Copies of these drawings have been an integral
part of my weekend intensives ever since. In response to the requests
of many of my students, I found a way to make them accessible in
an art poster that would beam life force energy into their homes
and offices.
The original drawings are now gracing the walls of the Rolling
Mirror Massage and Wellness Studio in Whitefish, Montana
